Fred Vasseur has said something regarding the Mercedes email adventure in front of the Barcelona GP.
Fred Vasseur has rubbished claims that Mercedes are purposefully attempting to ‘attack’ Lewis Hamilton in front of next season’s transition to Ferrari.
It comes after reports a mysterious email, which proposes Mercedes group supervisor Toto Wolff is leaning toward George Russel over Hamilton, was shipped off Equation One hot shots and journalists.
The source professes to be a worker at Mercedes, albeit that is fervently denied by the German constructor, who accept this is rather the resentful activity of a long-term Hamilton fan.
Before this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix, Vasseur commented on the incident, saying, “How could you imagine that a company with 1500 people working night and day, pushing like hell to bring upgrades… [that] we could kill one of our cars or [deliberately] damage one of our cars?” Mercedes has launched an investigation to attempt to identify the sender’s IP address.
The Formula One team has also informed the police. “How you can imagine that we say, ‘Lewis, we don’t want to score points anymore with him,'” he added later.
“We are fighting for the championship, and each weekend we are trying to score points more than the others.”
This, as far as I might be concerned, it’s totally nonsensical and all the way out of the extent of the individual who is doing my business.”
Only 15 races survive from Hamilton’s Mercedes vocation, with the seven-time title holder set to switch vehicles toward the finish of the 2024 season.
But sadly for the prospective ex-Mercedes driver, it doesn’t appear as though he’ll be joined at the Italian group by individual Brit Adrian Newey, despite the fact that Hamilton gave a public request to the plan master.
It was guaranteed recently that Newey is near settling on an arrangement with Aston Martin, notwithstanding revealed interest from Ferrari.
It’s a move that will probably break a fantasy of Hamilton’s, who as of late let it out would be a ‘honor’ to work with the 65-year-old.
“I think he would be an amazing addition [to Ferrari],” he stated. I think they’ve proactively got an extraordinary group, they’re as of now taking colossal advancement and steps forward… the vehicle is speedier this year.
Be that as it may, no doubt, it would be an honor to work with him.” Hamilton and co.
will get back to activity at the Spanish Amazing Prix this end of the week, with qualifying occurring in its standard Saturday spot, prior to dashing starts off at 2pm on Sunday evening.
